RFP-USA Bids Farewell to Long-Serving Executive Council Members
Written by Dr. Lucinda Mosher
March 2009 brought news of the departure of two members of the Religions for Peace – USA Executive Council due to restructuring within the communities they represented: Philip Jones (Church of the Brethren), and the Rev. Dr. W. Douglas Mills (UMC)—who was also RFP-USA’s Treasurer. Rev. Mills is now pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Amarillo, TX. Our sincerest best wishes accompany him to his new appointment.
And, after seven years of joyful service to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Fr. Francis Tiso is returning to his home in Isernia, Italy. Fr. Tiso served on RFP-USA’s Steering Committee and Program Task Force, and his insights will be missed. In addition to his work in interreligious relations, Fr. Tiso is also an accomplished painter. His art can be viewed here.
