    • Fast of Esther [Judaism] - Beginning at morning light, this fast commemorates fast of Esther, Mordecai, and the Jewish people in order to triumph over their enemies.

    • Ala [Baha'i] - The beginning of the 19 day fast in preparation for Now Ruz. Those of age and in good health abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset.
    • World Day of Prayer [Christianity] - This world wide common day of prayer that is organized by Christian women across various denominations.

    • Holi [Hinduism] - A colorful and joyous festival dedicated to Krishna or Kama.
    • Magha Puja [Buddhism] - This day commemorates the previous gathering of over 1,000 monks to pay homage to Buddha.

    • * Purim [Judaism] - Purim celebrates the victory of the Jews over an oppressive ruler Achashverosh, a story told in the book of Esther, which is read at this time. This day is celebrated by dressing up in funny costumes and trading food packages known as Shalachmanot.
    • Hola Mohallah [Sikhism] - This day was started by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, as a time to practice military exercises and hold mock battles. Today it is marked by music competitions and festivities/parades.

    • Ostara [Wicca] - This day celebrates the return of a Goddess and the reawakening of the seeds within the earth touched by the warm glow of God's love.
    • Vernal Equinox - 18:26 Universal Time
    • Now Ruz [Zoroastrianism] - New Year of 1376 AY, celebrates the renewal of the world and the creation of fire. The festival last 14 days and begins on the Vernal Equinox
    • Naw Ruz [Baha'i] - New Year 164 BE of the Baha'i era.
